Today is the 9th of August.
It's our 41st birthday for Singapore.

In 1965, on this very day.
Our country, our home,
Singapore gained its independence.

We were left to fend for ourselves after the seperation with Malaysia.
We are a small land.
Our forefathers strived throughout the years to establish our country, where we call home.

What do you remember about National day?
